How this page works
This is your **staging area** for contracts. Load a template, let your profile auto‑fill names and IDs, tweak the language, then send it to your Documents Vault to sign, store, and print.
You can:

Contract templates & explanations
This is the classic **record deal**. It controls who owns the masters, how advances work, how royalties are calculated, and how long the label controls your recordings.
- Use when: A label or company is funding and releasing your music.
- Key clauses: Masters ownership, advance, recoupment, royalty %, term, options, territory, reversion.
- Risk: You can lose control of your masters for a long time if terms are bad.
This defines what a producer gets paid, how many **points** they receive on the master, and who owns the final recordings.
- Use when: You hire a producer to create or finish your track.
- Key clauses: Fee, points, recoupment, credits, ownership, samples.
This locks in **who owns what % of the song** (the composition), and records each writer’s PRO, IPI / CAE, and publisher/admin.
- Use when: Two or more people wrote or composed the song.
- Key clauses: Ownership %, PRO, IPI, publisher/admin, sync fee splits.
This defines how a manager gets paid, what they handle, and how long they represent you. The **sunset clause** controls how long they keep earning after the deal ends.
- Use when: You’re hiring a manager or formalizing an existing relationship.
- Key clauses: Commission %, term, sunset clause, expenses, power of attorney.
You pay a flat fee, and you own **100% of the results**. Common for session players, designers, editors, and some producers.
- Use when: You want full ownership of what someone creates for you.
- Key clauses: Scope of work, fee, ownership, credits, warranties.
This grants the right to use your music with picture (film, TV, ads, games, YouTube, etc.). It covers fee, term, territory, and media.
- Use when: Someone wants to use your song in visual media.
- Key clauses: Media, territory, term, fee, credits, clearances.
A clean, structured skeleton you can adapt to any situation: collabs, brand deals, one‑off services, or anything that doesn’t fit a standard template.
- Use when: No existing template fits what you’re doing.
- Key clauses: Definitions, grant of rights/services, term, compensation, ownership, credits, termination.

Signature lines are already built into the templates. For in‑person signing: print from the Documents Vault. For e‑signature: email this draft, have it signed, then upload the signed PDF back into Documents.
